(wing). Same as alc. w’s of In gra i as, the wings of the sphenoid bone. w’s of the nose. See cla nas i. w’s of the sphenoid, the laterally projecting proce es of the sphenoid bone. The great wings lie between the petrous and squamous portions of the temporal bone behind, and the parietal, malar, and frontal bones in front. The fe er wings articulate with the frontal bone and cover the back part of the orbit.
