Damage

Injury and/or impairment of soundne . — A ve el, or any part or parts of her, or of the cargo, is said to be damaged, if injured through some adventitious cause; as stre of weather, stranding, grounding, coll is on, fire, etc; natural defects, such as dry-rot in the timbers, or exce ive oxidation of metals, are not usually considered „ Damage ".
