olein

(o’le-in) [L. o’leum oil]. An oleate (especially the tri oleate) of glyceryl, Cs57H,o,0.: found in various fixed oils and fats. It is a colorle , oily liquid, insoluble in water, but freely soluble in ether and alcohol.
