The fruit. of the tree is inclosed in a shell used by the natives of the Caribbee Islands for drinking cups, pots, musical instruments, and other domestie utensils, Calabash Nutmeg, a tree of the order Anonacex, introduced into Jamaica probably from Western Africa.
