Edwin Lauronce, an American. journalist and _ e ayist; born in Moyne, Ireland, Oct. 2, 1831. He graduated from Queen’s College, and came to the United States in early manhood. After 1865 he was prom i- “nent in journalism, and especially as editor of the “‘ Evening Post.” He had @ trenchant and even a bitter style, and provoked vigorous antagonism. He died May 20, 1902.
