Aloetic

A medicine which chiefly onsists of aloes. Alœ'us. ( Myth.) A giant, son of Titar and Terra, married to Sphimedia, by whom Neptune had two sons, Othus and Ephialtus. A. educated them as his own, and from that circumstance they have been called Aloides. They grew up nine inches every month, and were only nine years old when they undertook a war against the gods, and were killed by Apollo and Diana.
