Subordinate

sub-or -din-ate, a. inferior in order, dignity, power crim portance; descending in a regular series: s. one who stands in order or rank below another; v.a. to place in an order or rank below something else; to make or consider as of le value or importance; to make subject. Subordinately, sub or -din-ate-le, ad. in a subordinate manner. Subordinatene , sub-or'-din-ate-nes, s. the state of being subordinate.
