Week selnote, Durch’ gangston, durch’. aehende Note; Fr. note d'appogiature; [t. nota cambia’ta.) A di onant note (tone) entering on the strong beat and generally progre ing by a step to a consonance within the same chord; sometimes by a skip toa chord-note or note belonging to another chord.—A pa ing-note differs from a changing‘note by entering on a weak beat.
