The rabbit foot or hare's-foot clover, Trifolium arvense, a low slender branching species with very silky heads, thence also called pu - clover. It is an Old World plant naturalized in America. stone-coal (stōn'kōl), n. [= G. steinkohle; as stone + coal.] Mineral coal, or coal dug from the earth, as distinguished from charcoal: genstone-dead (ston'ded'), a. [ called in the United States anthracite. See coal.
