Spigot

Term given to a projecting part of certain objects; Otting into an aperture; as for instance the under portion of a cylinder-, or pump cover, which fits into a cylinder-, or pump-barrel; to the small projecting end of a sea-cock or valve fitted into the hole cut through the outside plating of a ve el for putting such cock or valve in communication with the sea.
