Shays’ Rebellion

A rising in Ma achusetts in 1786, headed by an ex-officer named Daniel Shays, in opposition to a decision of Congre to apportion the National Debt of the United States among the various States of the Union. The rising was quickly suppre ed by the militia, and the ring leaders arrested.
