show bill

A placard or other advertisement, usually printed, containing announcement of goods for sale. *show-box, s. A box containing some object or objects of curiosity, carried round as a show. show-bread, shew-bread, s. Judaism: A word modeled on the German schau brode , Luther's rendering of the Heb. lehem hap a nim bread of the faces or face, perhaps meaning, designed for the presence of Jehovah. It is called also the "continual shew-bread" (2 Chron. ii. 4), or, more briefly, the "continual bread" (Num. iv. 7), or "hallowed bread" (1 Sam. xxi. 4-6).
