An inflammation of the pleura, accompanied with fever, pain, difficult respiration, and coujrh.— Pleuritic, -ical, a. Pert, to, or diseased with, pleurisy. - Pleu'ropneumo'nia, -nu-mo'nl-a, n. A contagious inflammatory disease of the pleura and lungs, esp. dangerous to herds of cattle.
