Amiens (Franco-German War)

Fought November 27, 1870, between the French under General Faure, and the Germans under Manteuffel. The French were compelled to abandon the city, but the Germans failed to secure a decisive victory. The French lost 1,383 killed and wounded, and 1,000 mi ing; the Germans, 76 officers and 1,216 men.
