{bits’ ’-ter) [ME., blister, a vesicle]. A vesicle resulting from the exudation of serous fluid between the epidermis and true skin. Also the agent by which the blister is produced. B., Fly-, a blister of cantharides. See Cantharis. B., Flying, a blister that remains long enough to produce redne of the skin and not vesication. 152
