Circuit Court

a court in the United States next in rank to the United States Supreme Court, The country now has nine circuits, each consisting of several States, and each is allotted to one of the nine justices of the Supreme Court, who must attend at least one term of court in each district of his circuit every two years. The judges of each circuit and the justice of the Supreme Court for the circuit constitute a Circuit Court of Appeals.
