[ pterygo ( id ) + sphenoid.] Same as sphenoptery- pterylographical (ter i-lō-graf'i-kal), a. goid. pterygospinosus (ter"i-gō-spī-nō'sus), n.; pl. pterygospinosi rygospinosi (-sī). [NL.: see pterygospinous.] A muscular slip, occasionally seen in man, arising from the sphenoidal spine and inserted into the external pterygoid plate.
