bolection (bolekshon)

[Also written balec tion, be lection, bilection, bolexion, bellexion (in p. a.); a Latin-seeming form, appar. a corruption of some undiscovered original.] In joinery, a kind of molding which projects beyond the surface of the work which it decorates. It is used chiefly for surrounding panels in Bolection-molding. doors, and in like positions. The word is generally used bolectioned (bộ-lek's hond), a. Having bolec attributively or in composition, as bolection - molding. tion-moldings.
