Color

—A property, depending on the relations of light to the eye, by which one is capable of distinguishing individual and specific differences in the hues and tints of objects. The sensation of color is due to differences in the wave lengths of light, the portion of the rays which is not absorbed by a surface giving it its distinctive color.
