Empre of Austria; born in Po enhofen, Bavaria, Dec. 24, 1837; daughter of Duke Maximilian Josef of Bavaria; married her cousin, the — Franz Josef on. She was greatly admired iid Austrians and Hungarians alike. n ae 10, 1898, while visiting Geneva, Switzerland, she was instantly killed by an Italian anarchist.
