[Mahratta and Hind. ganja. See def.] Bot.: The term used in India for the leaves or young' leaf-buds of the hemp-plant ( Cannabis sa tiva ), which are frequently rubbed between the hands, added to tobacco, and smoked, to increase the power of the more harmle narcotic.
