[ cinerescere , turn into ashes, cine race ous . ] Turning gray or ash-colored; becoming cinereous; somewhat ashy-gray. cineritious (sin-e-rish'us), a . [L. cineritius, more correctly cinericius , like ashes, ciner- ), ashes: see cine race ous .] Having the color or consistence of ashes; ash-gray: specifically applied, in an at ., to the cinerea or gray nerve-ti ue as distinguished from white: the cineritious or cortical substance of the brain; a cineritious ganglion. - Cineritious tubercule, in an at.: (a) The tuber cinereum. See tuber. (b) The tuberculum cinereum of Rolando. See tuberculum.
