Kustenaus (kös-te-nous')

A tribe of Brazilian Indians discovered by Von den Steinen on the upper Xingú River in 1885. They are distantly ■related to the Arawaks of Guiana. A seaport and the chief town of the Dobrudja, Rumania, situated on the Black Sea in lat. 44° 10' N., long long. 28° 39′ E. It was the ancient Constant i an a, situated at the end of Trajan's Wall. The ancient Tomi is in the vicinity. Population, 7,994.
