Rake

(rāk.) [From A. S. raca.] (Agric., Gardening, dc.) A wooden-or iron-toothed implement, with a handle, by which the earth is stirred, or any light bodies lying upon it are gathered up.-(Shipbuilding.) An obtuse angle made by the masts of a ship with its deck, and by the stem and stern posts with the keel.To rake a ship. (Nav.) A term synonymous with the military expre ion to enfilade. [s. 752]
