Futtock

[Probably foot - hock, or corrupted from foot - lock .] ( Ship - building .) The name given to the middle timbers between the floor and the upper timbers. F. shrouds are small shrouds leading from the shrouds of the main-, mizzen-, and foremasts of ships to the shrouds of the top-masts.
