The Apérispermées are again subdivided by Cauvet into the Apérispermées superow riées, in which the ovary is superior, and the Apérispermées inferovariées, in which the ovary is inferior. The former include the Naiadeæ, Potomeæ, Aponogeteæ, and Juncagineæ, in which the rianth is absent, scaly, or herbaceous, and the Alismaceæ and ‘utomeæ, in which the perianth is petaloid; the latter include the Hydro char ideæ, Orchideæ, A post a sieæ, and Burmanniacee. Various sections of dicotyledonous planes (Apetalæ, hypogynous Poly petalæ, and perigynous Poly petalæ) are also subdivided by Cauvet into Apérispermées and Périspermées, according as they are or are not exalbuminous.
