CHIPPEWA FALLS

a town of Wisconsin, in Chippewa co., of which it is the county seat. It is on the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul, and other railroads, and on the Chippewa river. It has important manufactures and obtains water power from the river. It is the seat Of the County Insane Asylum and the State Home for Feeble Minded. Pop. 1920, 9,130.
