-CONFIDENCE. Deu. 29.19. That he ble himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart. 1 Kin. 20.11. Let not him that girdeth on his harne boast himself as he that putteth it off. 2 Kin. 18.21. Thou trust est upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it. Isa. 36.6. Job 11.20. Their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost. Job 15.31. Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence. Job 29.18. I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand. Psa. 10.6. He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity. Psa. 20.7. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. 8. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Psa. 30.6. In my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
