a city of Wisconsin, Brown co., of which it is the county seat. It is on the Chicago and Northwestern, the Chicago, Milwaukee and! St. Paul, and other railroads, and on Green Bay and fox rivers. The city is at the head of the lake and foot of river navigation. It has an excellent harbor and there is a large trade in lumber, coal, grain, flour, cheese, etc. There are several Roman Catholic and Luther an parochial schools. <A be canal connects the Mi i ippi River wit Lake Michigan, using the Wisconsin and Fox rivers. The cost of this was over $10,000,000. Pop. 1920, 31,017.
