Bille

Steen Andersen, a Danish naval officer, born in Copenhagen, Dec. 5, 1797. He was a member of the expedition that went to South America in 1840, and had command of a scientific expedition round the world, in the corvette “ Galatea,” 1845-1847, of which he wrote an interesting account. He died in Copenhagen, May 7, 1883.
