Turnus

, a king of the Rutuli, son of Daunus and Venilia. He made war against Æneas, and attempted to drive him away from Italy, that he might not marry the daughter of Latin us, who had been previously engaged to him. His efforts were attended with no succe , though supported with great courage and a numerous army. He was conquered, and at last killed in a single combat by Æneas.
