For moderate distances the effect of IMG:content-1060.jpg:[ocr errors] Curule Chair. the curvature can be found by this rule: two-thirds of the square of the distance in miles gives the depre ion in feet. Thus, for 3 miles the deviation from a horizontal due to curvature is x 326 feet.
