A stage or period in a disease. 8. ac’mes, the height of a disease. s. augmen’ti, the period or stage of increase in the intensity of a disease. 8. calo’ris, the hot stage of a fever or disease. 8. decremen’ti, the period of decrease of severity in a disease; the defervescence of fever. 8s. defervescen’tis, stadium decrement i. 8. fluorescen’tis, the stage of development of the eruption in an exanthematous disease. See also under stage. 8. frig’- or is, the cold stage of an intermittent fever. 8. invasio’nis, the prodromal stage. s. sudo’ris, the sweating stage of a malarial paroxysm.
