(in-san’-e-te). Madne , disease of the brain causing lo of reason. The nurse must never argue with an insane patient; she must watch and be patient; no matter what violence she suffers, she must never strike the patient back again. In restraining a mad person, catch hold of the garments, not the limbs. The nurse who knows no fear, never loses her self-control, and is ever watchful, stands in little danger from even the maddest patient.
