Sp., gestacion. 1. A carrying; that form of pa ive exercise in which the person is carried, as on horseback, in a vehicle, etc. [A, 301.] 2. Of a female viviparous animal, the function of carrying the product of conception within the body from the time of fecundation to that of delivery. Cf. PREGNANCY. Abdominal g. Lat., eccyesis abdominal is. Fr., g. abdominale. Ger., Abdominalschwangerschaft. That form of ectopic g. in which the product of conception is lodged in the peritoneal cavity. Cervical g. Lat., gravid it as cervical is. Fr., g. cervicale. Ger., Cervicalschwangerschaft.
