Counsellor

(koun'sl-lor.) [Fr. conseiller.] (Law.) An advocate, or special pleader in a court of law.- C. at Law is an officer in the Supreme Court of the U. States, and in some other courts, who is employed by a party in a cause to conduct the same on its trial in his behalf. [s. 237]
