Equipment-letter

Is the term given to letters, inserted in the 13th Column on each page of Lloyds Register Book by means of which and the Equipment-tables in the Rules, the required number, weight etc. of anchors; length and size of cables, warps etc; for the ve el opposite the name of which the letter is placed, may be ascertained.
