pleurapophysis (plural pleurapophses)

[Pref. pleur-, and Eng. apophysis.] Compar . Anat .: The projecting proce on each side of a vertebra. The ribs are of the nature of pleurapophyses. (Owen.) pleû-rěn-chy-mą, subst.
