Foxglove

Digitalis purpure a. Showy, pink-flowered herb of the natural family Scrophulariaceæ, native of Europe; IMG:content-0147.png:[graphic] IMG:content-0148.jpg:[graphic] Red Fox. do not interbreed with dogs. The American Red Fox is probably descended from the preceding. Among its varieties is the Black or Silver Fox, whose fur is most valued. In n.w. N. America is the small Coast Fox, black above, cinnamon on side, a variety of the larger and generally distributed Gray Fox. The latter is being exterminated. The African Fennel, a foot long (le tail), is fawn or creamy, with blue eyes, and is sometimes kept as a pet. It preys at night. The fur of the Arctic Fox, brown in summer, turns white in winter, when the skin is highly prized.
