Brissot

JEAN PIERRE, (brees'so,) B. 1754, became one of the most devoted adherents of the French Revolution, in which he joined the Giron dist party; was also deputy to the Legislative A embly and the Convention; procured the appointment of Roland to the ministry of the interior, and was guillotined with the other Giron dist leaders, Oct. 31, 1793. B. was a voluminous writer on social and political subjects. [s. 117]
