Dipsomania

(dip-so-ma’-ne-a). An irresistible mania for drink, occurring at regular intervals. The nurse-attendant in these cases has a hard time; the general health of the patient must be attended to; he must never be allowed to get tired, hungry or thirsty. Lots of strong coffee and salt beef-tea should be given frequently.
