Those formed by the ripening of the pistils of a flower cluster, these becoming more or le densely adherent as in the cone of pines, firs, etc. They are also termed Collective. Multiple Images. If an object be placed between two parallel mirrors, or in the angle formed by two inclined ones, a number of images may be observed due to the multiple reflections in the two mirrors alternately. The number of images visible depends upon the angle of inclination of the mirrors. The phenomenon is also observed in the reflections from a piece of thick plate-gla , the multiple images in this case being due to the alternate reflections from the two surfaces. Multiple Points of A CURVE. Those where two or more branches intersect, double, triple, etc., according to the number of intersecting branches. They are determined by values of the first differential coefficient of the equation of the curve.
