Dexia (deksia)

[NL., Dexiariæ (dek-si-ā'ri-ē), n. pl. [NL., Dexiidæ (dek-si'i-dē), n. pl. [NL., Dexia + -ida.] A family of dipterous insects, typified by the genus Deria. It is a small group, allied to the Tachinidæ, represented in North America by about 40 species, 30 of which belong to Dexia. It was founded by Macquart in 1835.
