cactus wren (kaktusren)

The name given by Coues to the wrens of the genus Campylo rhynchus, from their frequenting and nesting in cactuses. The brown-headed cactus-wren is C. brun neicapillus; the St. Lucas cactus-wren is C. afinis. There are numerous other species of Mexico and Central America.
