[Gr. dia =between, and Lat. tela a web.] Anat.: The velum inter pos i tum, the mem braneous roof of the third ventricle of the brain. di-a-tes-sa-ron, s. [Gr. dia =between, through, apart, and te ara four.] 1. Music: An interval of a fourth; its proportion is as four to three, being composed of a greater tone, a le er tone, and a greater semitone. 2. Bib .: A harmony of the four Gospels. 3. Med .: A medicine or preparation compounded of gentian, Aristolochia rotunda , bayberries, and honey, incorporated with extract of juniper. di-a-ther-mal, a. [Gr. dia =through, and ther mai no =to heat; thermos =heat.] Through which heat can freely permeate.
