ab. 1533-1600. Father of the preceding, lutist and violist, one of the Florentine inventors of the opera. See LYRIC DRAMA. Galla Types. century. In religion they are partly Christian, partly Mohammedan, and partly pagan. They are warlike, intelligent, and industrious.
