(dek-ll-na's hun). Deflection of the vertical meridian of the eye to one or the other side in consequence of rotation of the eyeball in its anteroposterior axis; negative d. is when the upper pole of the vertical diameter approaches the nose, positive d. is when it turns toward the temple.
