SUTHERLAND, HOWARD

(1865), United States Senator from West Viruated from Westminster College in 1889, and afterwards studied law. He was engaged in editorial work for several years and was employed in the Census office in "Washington. He became interested in coal mining in West Virginia and was president and director in a number of coal mining corporations.
