PI. sera. The watery portion of an organic fluid (ordinarily of the blood). anti choleraic s. A s. supposed to contain a cholera antitoxin. anti diphtheritic s. The s. of an animal (usually the horse) that has been immunized against diphtheria by repeated inoculations with the virus of the disease; used for the prevention and cure of diphtheria. anti dysenteric s.
