[Etym. doubtful.] Heraldry: Turned or bowed upward. ür-voel-ġỹ-ite (ę long), subst. [After Urvölgy, the Hungarian name for Her ren grund, where found; suff. -ite ( Min.).] Min.: A mineral occurring in Urvant. semi-spherical aggregations of thin hexahedral plates, a ociated with malachite and other minerals in a conglomerate. Hardne , 2.5; specific gravity, 3132; luster, vitreous to pearly; color, shades of emerald to bluish green. Composition: A hydrated sulphate of copper and lime, but, as Dana suggests, it "needs further examination on the chemical side." More frequently known under the name of Herrengrundite.
